Snow Day

Nick got up at six to his dream come true- snow sticking to the ground. I myself am not a huge fan of cold weather, but I did get bundled up a little later in the morning to go outside and play with the big kids. I love that phrase, the big kids. My 'big kids' are three and two! Not even two, until next month! But they are they big kids now. Needless to say, we didn't bring Warren anywhere near his very first snow. He'll have to wait for next winter in CT for some fun.

After we got them ready, Ava made my day by quoting the line from a Christmas Story, when the little brother says "I can't put my arms down!" She knows how to make her mama smile.

After Scott got over the idea that the snow was making his gloved hands 'dirty' he had a good time sneaking bits of it into his mouth when he thought I wasn't looking.

Nick taught the kids how to pack and throw snowballs at each other and at Michelle, who was hiding behind the glass door, trying to stay warm.

Not sure who's having more fun here...

And last but not least, here's my little Ava, trying to make a snow angel, in what actually turned out to be more ice than snow. She never noticed though. Ohh, to be so young!
