One thing I am not doing is getting Warren on a good routine. (we don't use the word schedule in the Engelbrecht house- a routine is NOT the same as a schedule! I'm not a crazy Nazi!) He's just been kinda hanging out with us, sneaking cat naps in the swing whenever the mood strikes him. Oh little buddy, that's going to be a thing of the past starting tomorrow. I need him on a good routine before I end up in Biloxi all by myself with the three of them. Well, I'll have my mom, but still. No daddy to help me out. And then when we get to CT, I'll REALLY be on my own. A real live, full time, stay at home mom. Ohhh my goodness.
Our house is pretty much definitely sold. I guess they can back out if they want, but they'll be financially punished, and we've met them and they really want it, so I don't think we'll have to worry. And they're willing to let us stay thru the first week of July, sort of renting it back from them, so that we wouldn't have to move to a hotel with the three kids for that week, so hopefully that will work out. Can you believe we sold our house in less than a week? I mean, sorta less than forty eight hours if you count their first bid. Praise the Lord.
Here are some pics of us going to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens last Saturday. Five years in Hampton Roads and this was our first visit! I personally like the zoo better, but that's just me.
Here's Ava with her daddy on the tram:
Can you see Scott's mouth? It's wide open in surprise and delight! It's super cute.
Me and the baby, who slept the whole time. Yes, I know my hair is ridiculous. It has since been cut.
Ava on the slide. I'm getting pretty good at the action shots!
And everyone playing in the fountains. Wearing new clothes and sneakers, instead of ratty clothes and Crocs. Naturally. Warren wasn't too excited to be woken up by wet, cold feet. Aren't his feet just the cutest?
So that's what we did last weekend. And next weekend is....WICKED!!! Hooray, I'm so super excited. And after the show, we're heading up to Groton to see some of the base housing options, look for a preschool, get the lay of the land, find a grocery store, that sort of thing. Wish us luck!
