Goodness Knows

WICKED WAS AMAZING! I sang the post title and that line for you. If you know the music, you get it, otherwise, you're just some loser who doesn't know the music! And you're totally missing out!

Goodness. It was AMAZING, have I mentioned that? I woke up this morning sick as a friggin dog, and I hardly EVER get sick. And when I do get sick, I usually just vom and then I'm totally fine. But not today. I thought about trading tickets with Ryan and Mel, that's how serious this bug is. But, then I got worried that I'll be even sicker tomorrow and then I'd really be screwed, so I took a shower, put on some makeup (I know!) and off we went, on our third date since Ava was born all those long long months ago. Our first date was dinner and a movie that I can't for the life of me remember with Joel and Becca, and the second was a party at the CO's house. That one doesn't really count.

But today. Ohhh, today. The music was fantastic, and we were so high that I could see everything in the orchestra pit, including this neat little house where the drummer was totally enclosed. If I could go back in time and be musical, I would play drums. They just make the music, don't you think?

The girl (woman?) who did Galinda was really cute, but she didn't sing at all like Kristen Chenoweth, but she was still pretty good. And her mannerisms were just flawless. But the girl who did Elfaba....wowsers. Obviously no Idina Menzel, but she brought me to tears more than once. I don't know if it was just the setting or seeing her flying or what, but when she did Defying Gravity, I actually thought she was better than the CD of Idina Menzel! Blasphemy, I know.

And let me just tell you. No Good Deed? Definitely my favorite song. I was a little wishy washy between Defying Gravity, The Wizard and I, and No Good Deed, but I think No Good Deed is the winner. I dunno though, the other two are so good too! Do I have to pick a favorite?

And I think that Nick had a good time too, believe it or not! If only tickets hadn't been almost two hundred bucks, I'd love to go a few more times!
