Well, it's Sunday night, and that means that I have one week and a few extra hours left in Norfolk. On the one side, after spending fifty six minutes in line for the tunnel on my way home with poor Mia yesterday- I'm totally ready to get the heck out of here. And then on the other hand....this is my home! My very first home. I brought my children home from the hospital, right up those steps thru that door. Ava and Scott took their first steps here. They spoke their first words here. Goodness, I'm getting all choked up just writing this!
Then there's the whole leaving-our-friends-behind business. Our neighbors, people at church, Ryan and Melissa, my coworkers....my patients! Man! And I'm sort of terrible at this, so please don't be offended if you don't feel like I give you the goodbye you deserve. Nick is more of the social situations expert in the family.
Well, Mia is here and things are going great so far. Ava is a little territorial, but for a nice change, the girls aren't ganging up on Scott, so that's awesome. We're taking tons of pictures, getting used to that new camera, but again with the uploading issue!
We've got a busy busy week coming up. Nick has to work on Monday, I'm babysitting Real Live Not A Baby Anymore Nathan on Tuesday, we close on the house on Tuesday, Warren has his four month appt and shots on Tuesday (don't call on Tuesday unless you're offering to help please) I work on Wednesday, my mom and dad fly in Wednesday night at ELEVEN THIRTY AT NIGHT, and then it's a weekend at the beach, fireworks, fun, and then on Monday afternoon we head to Biloxi. Whew. I'm exhausted already! And I didn't even mention packing for three children and myself for a six week stay!
So that's what I've been up to lately. There's a new Dean Koontz book I haven't had time to buy, let alone read. My Sister's Keeper (one of my favorite books) has been made into a movie that I haven't had time to see. I haven't worked out in ages, I haven't cleaned the house in years (thanks for doing it babe) but I have spent a lot of time cuddling with all three of my babies and my niece, and I'm reading a new parenting book that I think is really helping. I notice that I don't yell as much, and Ava seems to be getting a little bit better at obeying. Her anger isn't so much under control yet, but baby steps, right?
No idea when I'll be able to get some pics on here, but they're cute, trust me!
