Well, most people know that I'm not exactly political. I get all my news from Matt Lauer, and I usually tune out the 'boring' stuff. I know it's irresponsible and it makes me look like an uneducated redneck, but hey. That's me.
That being said, I did hear about this Bernie Madoff thing on the Today show. This man, who did steal billions of dollars and undoubtedly ruined hundreds of lives, did not actually physically harm anyone, and he got a hundred and fifty years in prison? Meanwhile, men are out there stabbing their wives to death with kitchen knives and having sex with their stepchildren, and they get nine years, plus time off for good behavior? Something about that seems a little unsettling to me.
But, like I said, I don't usually keep up with current events, so maybe I'm missing something.
