Christmas 2009- Round One

Well. It's been a while, right? I'd like to say I've been busy doing fun holiday things with the kids, but I haven't. I just haven't been in a very bloggy mood lately. But, we got up at five to head to the airport of Friday and it was FANTASTIC! I always get excited when we get to fly, because I've hardly ever done it and it's just exciting, right? It was a direct flight (which isn't as great as it sounds, actually, because it was a straight three and a half hour stretch, with no hour to wander around the Atlanta airport to get the ants out of our pants) so we didn't have to spend ALL DAY traveling, which was nice, and the plane was only about half full, which was even nicer! I was in the two seater aisle with Warren in my lap and Nick sat with the big kids in the three seater aisle. After everyone was on, the flight attendants said we could all move around and get more comfy, and let me tell you, the man next to me was GONE almost before she finished saying it. What, he didn't want to sit next to me and my baby? Wonder why.

After we got settled in, Grandpa Kenny and Linda let the kids open a few gifts so that the kids would have something to do this week. Needless to say, even though we had three huge suitcases, we didn't really have the room to pack any toys. We brought Baby Nathan and a few matchbook cars, and that's all. So, the kids were pretty excited to get their gifts early.

Here's Scott with a new train set...

And Scott with his daddy. I need to get a shot of Scott, Nick, and Kenny. It's a little ridiculous how similar they all look! I know most of these shots are too yellow, but as usual, I don't know how to use the camera properly. The flash washes everything out so that you don't get to see how pretty the tree is. I need like a soft flash or something. Any suggestions?

Just so you see what I mean, I took this shot like two minutes before. Everything is exactly the same, except I had the flash on auto. Better pic because it's not all yellow or what not, but that's not how I wanted it to look. I mean, it was dark in that room, nothing like it looks. Ugh.

Anyhoo. That's not what this post was supposed to be about, but I just get so frustrated! I have this amazing camera, I want to be able to make magic with it!

Here, let's get back to opening gifts.
