Menu Plan Monday 7/9/12
We're doing swim lessons this week, which I thought was going to be awesome, and it still might be. Warren's is from 9-10 and the bigs are from 10-11. But here's the kicker: the pool is closed, so unless you're IN lessons, you can't go in the pool. Meaning Ava and Scott have to sit still form 9-10 and Warren has to sit from 10-11 and Daisy has to sit the ENTIRE two hours.
That sucks, right? Am I overreacting? Do I have to stay? Can I like take the non-lessons kids and walk around the block or something? For two hours? Ugh.
I guess we shall see in about ninety minutes, right?
Anyway. Here's my menu. Because I know you're dying to see what's happening in my kitchen. Side note: the A&J Tackle PW Challenge is back. I took a pretty long hiatus when my mom was here (because we mostly ate out or grilled for four weeks straight, which I am NOT complaining about at all!!) but now we're back and determined to get through that book. So we can start the first one ;) I'll have the reviews from week seven up either today or tomorrow (hopefully) but if you want to join in, this is what we're doing from it now.
Sunday: Corn chowder (part of the A&J Tackle PW Challenge) with steaks on the side. Because everyone needs a side of steak, you know? Hey, remember when Rachel was pregnant and she went on a 'date' with Joey and she ordered the lobster with a side of steak? That's when the show started to suck. But that part was pretty funny.
Monday: Easy Lemon Chicken. Have I shared this recipe? If not, it's a link. It's amazing. And if you do in on the stove, it takes approximately four and a half minutes to make. But we have gymnastics, so I'm throwing it all in the ole crockinator.
Tuesday: Chicken and noodles, part of the part of the A&J Tackle PW Challenge.
Wednesday: Sloppy joes, part of the A&J Tackle PW Challenge.
Thursday: Nick has duty, so leftovers or McD's. Or probably cereal, if we're being honest.
Friday and Saturday: grill out or order something. We'll also be doing the french toast from the A&J Tackle PW Challenge.
What are y'all eating this week? Head over here for some great ideas!!
