Makapu'u Lighthouse

So before the rug was yanked out from under me, when I thought Nick only had a few weekends left in Hawaii between his underways and working and packing and all, we decided to start crossing stuff off The List.  And hiking to The Makapu'u Lighthouse seemed like the easiest thing to start with.

Every time I see myself with four kids, it sort of catches me off guard.  I mean, four kids? FOUR?!?! That's a lot of kids.  And when did Ava get so tall? I made it about halfway pushing that stroller before I died and Nick had to take over.

As I was dying, this lady offered to take our picture.  This is one of three pictures of all six of us.  Thanks lady!! Sorry I couldn't catch enough breath to ask you if you wanted me to take a picture of YOUR family.  I'm such a bitch.

Luckily, Warren got his game face on.  Not sure why that was lucky.  Just felt right to say it.

Then I couldn't decide which picture I liked better.
 So I put them both.

After my brush with death, I was revived to this view.  Not a bad way to come back to the land of the living.

Stupid kids were NOT interested in being in my picture.  They just don't get it.  These are memories people!!!
Name that movie.

Up at the top of the hike, they've got a little place to stand.  Sorta like Two Lover's Point in Guam, but not as terrifying.  And I didn't even go up to the higher part of Two Lover's, so ugh.  I'm getting short of breath remembering what Nick looked like when he was up there.

Nice view though. Why is her bow crooked? Doesn't she know how important bows are?

And for once in my hiking career (hello, I've gone on five hikes!! I'm basically a hikeologist) going down truly was easier than coming up.  Which was good since I was already dead.
