Menu Plan Monday

Well life is getting all jacked up.  We started back to school, I started back to working out, Nick and I started trying to purge all the crap we having laying around on every single horizontal space in our house, and all the while, we've been planning on Nick going out to sea.  Every few days, we think this is the day, only to find out that it's not.

Now I understand that normal people won't understand how frustrating this is.  Normal people will roll their eyes and say "don't be so ungrateful, you should be happy to have him around for a few more days!!" But other submarine mamas (and maybe wives without kids, I'm not sure) should understand that this is the WORST.  Getting the kids all prepared mentally for Nick to be gone, only to have him walk thru the door for supper...it's hard.  REALLY REALLY HARD.  I can't explain it, other than that, so you'll just have to take my word for it.

So in an effort to control something- ANYTHING, please, I need some control!!!- I am going a little over the top with lists and schedules and planning and menus and the like.  My poor kids.

So here's what's on the menu this week.

Monday:  crockpot orange chicken.  I'm a little apprehensive, but if it's awful, we can always just eat cereal, right?

Tuesday: breakfast bread pudding, part of the A&J Tackle PW.  Also apprehensive about this because it sounds soggy and I don't like soggy.

Wednesday: steakhouse pizza, part of the A&J Tackle PW.  And I'm even planning on finally doing the pizza crust, probably on Tuesday morning because Bible study starts back up on Wednesday (HOORAY!!)

Thursday: mushroom sliders, part of the A&J Tackle PW. Minus the mushrooms for us.  Obviously.

Friday: leftovers, takeout.

Saturday: ribeye with whiskey sauce, twice baked potatoes, and green bean casserole, all part of the A&J Tackle PW.  It's gonna be a lot, anyone want to come over for supper?

Sunday: honey plum soy chicken, one of my favorite recipes from this challenge so far.  I've linked back to my write up if anyone wants the recipe.

What are ya'll eating this week? If you're looking for some inspiration, head on over here for tons of ideas!!
