Road Trip (Sort Of?)

Two birds with one stone because how COOOOOOOL were we on the most epic of Epic Road Trips? Our senior class loaded up into a bus and drove from Biloxi to Orlando.  Perhaps a stretch for a road trip prompt, but it's my blog and I do what I want.  And these pics need to be shared with the world.  Trust me.

I still don't know how any of us survived the ride there, let alone the ride home.

I cringe when I look at my old scrapbooks, but at the same time, I can't look away.  First, the pics are always so epic.  I can only assume we used one of those disposal camera thingies?  But secondly, what was I thinking when I made this? Why on earth did I cut my pictures into shapes? Is that a heart?

What made me take a picture of three besties, posing in front of the DeLorean, and cut it into...what is this, exactly? A rectangle with tabs?
God we were cool though. Look at Angela's cow print bag.  Does it GET any cooler than that?

That one up there....so many thoughts.  In the first one, why are we wet? Is there a water slide? We're totally nailing the wet and sexy pose though.  But why oh WHY is my shirt folded up to show my belly?!?! It's not a sexy belly!! Who talked me into that?!?!

Who did we sucker into taking our iconic Friends in Front of Cinderella's Castle Shot? Whoever it was, I want to thank him, because I love that shot.

And the last one...what's up with the socks, Past Jenn? Seriously, why are up wearing those socks, and why WHY did you pull them all the way up?!?!

And this one? Toya got sick so we took her to the nurse's station and...felt we needed to document the occasion? How about a little compassion, Past Jenn? Y'know, as you're about to BECOME A NURSE? Don't take pics of people when they feel bad!!!

But that second one? Where I'm...pretending that I'm about to board a...wagon? Of some sort? Nailed that pose Past Jenn. Let's take a moment, though, to admire her terribly skinny legs.  Ohhhh, Past Jenn.  You're so skinny!!! Don't waste your epic thinness posing like a moron!!!

And... Doug Funny? Why was Doug Funny at Disney World? Why did we pose with Doug Funny at Disney World?

And now, my absolute favorite shot from the entire trip.  I splurged (er, one of us splurged, who knows which one?) and bought the Ride Photo.  Ohhhh, the Ride Photo.

So much amazeballs in one picture.  Angela is straight up TERRIFIED.  Look at her expression!!! A ride this horrifying, what are those little kids doing on it?!?! That mom in front of Toya (who is also quite petrified) is just laughing while her daughter cowers in fear!!! And front row dude is...filming the ride? With a handheld camcorder?

So there you go.  Past Jenn, Past Angela, and Past Toya, circa sometime in either May or June, 2000. Too cool for school.  One of my favorite memories from high school, and seriously, can you blame me? God we were cool.

Linking up with Mama Kat's Pretty Much World Famous Writer's Workshop, mashing up prompts 3 (post inspired by the word COOL) and 4 (memorable road trip story).

    1. Why oh WHY didn't I enjoy those gorgeous legs more?!?! And the beauty of old friends- exactly. I'm still besties with one of those girls, countless moves later, despite the fact that we haven't lived on the same continent in AGES. So lucky.

  3. OMFG...dying...I love Past Jenn
I am a horrible cutter. Like so horrible that my husband has banned me from using scissors. In fact, I'm not even allowed to use tweezers and that has nothing to do with anything other than Past Kim had really bad eyebrows in grade ten and I probably cropped them pictures in the same way Past Jenn chopped up photo kidneys...errr...spleens...errrr hearts....
And that man with the handheld camera on the ride -- epic. Just epic.
I needed this laugh today. Thank you!!!
